While it's cool this engine will be scalable down to the Nintendo Switch, but will their really be any real difference between Unreal Engine 5 running on Switch as oppose to Unreal Engine 4 on it? Like if their isn't any graphical difference in the games on Switch then what's the point?

Yes, but is it possible make realistic tornadoes of varying forms (rope, stove-pipe, wedge etc), rotating LP super-cells and other specific cloud types like mammatus or cumulonimbus etc? Check the GRmemory channels of storm chasers to see what I'm specifically referring to. :)

It looks amazing. I have found only two minor errors whe my brain was protesting : 04:14 The water behaves a bit unnatural here. Maybe the colour and the density looks a bit weird in this demo. 05:49 The bugs shouldn't have disappeared immediately as soon as the tomb is lightened as they should have walked in the shadows

so do you need a lot of RAM? VRAM? I wonder to what does the fps scale up to because remember, there's limit to lossless virtualization, for example this demo runs at 2k at around 30fps+ meaning something holds it back considering it's 2070 /80 rtx that's inside, it makes me wonder

Its unreal how far game dev has come, although I would really like to see games looking as good as this, but also being able to interact realistically in a real time environment with a ‘continuum damage material point method’ built into the game engine, if you dont know what this is I say you should definitely search.. it is a vision and I hope this can happen for the sake of next gen console.

Spherical planets uses a different approach with LODs. Look up quadtree terrain. As for the gravity, there a marketplace item you can buy for that. It shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Maxime Dupart already does something similar. Also look up his channel 'Xenthorx'.

I know this is an old tutorial, however it is hard to find newer ones. I am using UR4.25. I have gone though all 3 videos but i am getting an error at 55:15 where we come off the inventory buttons array, and do the GET operation, i cannot SET Inventory Image. I keep getting a "object reference is not compatible with Inventory Image object reference". This is happening with every Get operation to the "Set Inventory Image" code in the series. Any ideas?

Graphics doesnt make a game. Oldschool Another World is superior to majority of modern games, because of mechanics, cinematiqueness and work put into it. Here, it's just technological showoff. We dont need it as players. Fotorealism is making games only worse, in fact. Good pixelart creates better atmosphere. But you have earned your money, guys. Thats what counts, I agree.

i cant seem to get this to work properly in 4.25 with HTC vive Pro. There doesn't seem to be any way to get the radial menus to pop up. Is there something I'm missing? Ive read the documentation but pressing the track button doesn't really do anything. I can press the menu button and get some kind of UI but nothing that enables the radial menus. Does the controller need to be in some kind of state like interaction mode etc? Halp!

very graphicly visual. now do what god did but from within the game. add actual working elements and build all things at ppb OR parts per billion. i hate AI in every game, they are far to aare. i bet they would slow don if their sensors rules where limited to how they where allowed to sense. someone remade the scenes you have shown with dreams to show how close it can compete. to me it's just about the talent of the individual. but i dont want to be that great, i want you to want to be that great and to keep getting better. i am just adding an insight to features gamers need. cells, elements and real reactions to include having to forge after gathering those specific elements placed through out the game and found in the same way of research mhatcing to how we have come so far in our real humanity. what is sad is that we could digitally footprint all knowledge into an apple of eden. i mean based on what we know so far and make that accessible to the world but everyone knowing what you know at the same time isnt profitable O.0 you are greedy and therefore unworthy of your work but hey there it is and i am sure it's beautiful... to the easily impressed......

Admittedly the volumetric cloud is so broken in 4.25 and (IMO) isn't tinkering directly to the engine's renderer (which I really hoped for because that's the only way to have dependent render resolution pass and get it optimised) For volumetric cloud solution, I sticked with Harry Emelianov's famous volumetric cloud material that's free (but not work with Vulkan), which have better performance and overall flexibility. Also that means the whole planet thing is, what I would like to call, *smokes and meshes* .

Volumetric is often a 'cheap' (drag and drop) and dirty (bad performance/quality) solution. 4.25 volumetric isn't even close to ready for shipping.
